There are 15 words in the Fijian language for Heaven and ‘Yasawa’ is the first. Indulge in heavenly seclusion in an area renowned for its velvety, white sand beaches and crystal clear tropical waters. The 18 traditionally thatched, beachfront bures are understated in their luxury. Hidden among the palms, each air-conditioned bure has a discreet outdoor shower; an expansive deck with daybeds to wile away the afternoons; a hammock strung between the palms; and your own thatched cabana with sun loungers on the edge of Yasawa’s famous white, sandy beach. Perched on a rise overlooking the rest of the resort is a huge Family Bure with two separate bedrooms either side of a central living area. Its elevated outdoor deck provides magnificent views over the island and out to sea

Sip below the surface of Yasawa’s pristine waters and you’ll find a world as seductive as the island above. Do as much or as little as you like at Yasawa. Take a picnic on one of 11 deserted beaches, sail a catamaran or sailboard, visit the local villages, hit the tennis court, or succumb to a massage. Try game fishing in the resort’s purpose-built boat, or take a launch to the caves and coves made famous in the classic movie The Blue Lagoon.

Children 12 and over are welcome at Yasawa Island Resort all year. Children under 12 are only welcome during all of January, April, Jun 15-July 31, Sep 15-Oct 31 and throughout all of December . During this time there is a fun children's program operating with supervised activities and nannies.

While parents relax, children will be able to enjoy activities like crab racing, fish feeding or crafts and songs drawn from the traditions of the Fijian people.  Child minding and special  meals for children will be available.
